Healthy eating with Ancient Food olive oil

As we all know the benefits of olive oil consumption lowers blood pressure, protects LDL particles from oxidation (reduces heart disease), and reduces inflammation. It’s also help prevent unwanted blood clotting.
The truly extra virgin olive oil has a very distinctive taste, smell and loaded with antioxidants.
Beware of misleading labeling such as “light “or diet. There are so many kind of olive oil and some lower quality version might have been mixed with chemicals or diluted with other cheap oils. Therefore, buying the right kind of Extra Virgin Olive oil is very important.
For this reason and to better your health. I recommend the Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Ancient Food “Keros” oil.

This Keros E.V.O.O is made with olive harvested in the later stages of ripeness and carefully pick by hand. The oil was extracted using natural methods like cold press and unfiltered from ancient olive trees grow in the hillside rock on Mount Taygetos outside of Sparta, Greece. The older the olive tree the more antioxidants and phenols for your heart.
The flavor: smooth with hints of fresh herbs and buttery, peppery finish.
This Keros olive oil is 100 percent USDA organic certified product.
The best of the best, this olive oil was Hand Selected by a Michelin Star Chef:Chef Nick Stefanelli has traveled throughout Greece to hand select the finest ingredients and bring them to the United States for the first time.  The olive oils, honeys, herbs, and teas that Chef Stefanelli has selected are world class, and sourced directly from farmers in tiny Greek mountain villages.  These are the same products that he uses in his Washington, D.C. Michelin Star restaurant, Masseria.

“It is important to have the best ingredients if you want to prepare the best meals.  At Masseria, we need the best ingredients to stay at the top of our game.  Home chefs deserve at have access to these same ingredients.” – Chef Stefanelli

This Keros olive oil is perfect for drizzling, saute’ and baking.

I used this oil pretty much for all my cooking. I’ve round up some olive oil recipes below. Please check it out for some dinner ideas.

Basic bread dipping Oil : Kat’s snack!
1/2 cup Keros EVOO.
1/2 kosher salt.
1/2 Black pepper.
1 garlic colver mine.
some olives
4 sourdough breads

Homemade Ravioli with chicken and cheese filling; simple but full of goodness.

Homemade ravioli:
Ingredients,
* 6 to 6-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
* 6 large eggs
* 3/4 cup water
* 2 teaspoons olive oil
* 1 carton (15 ounces) ricotta cheese
* .5lbs ground chicken.
* 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
* 1 large egg, lightly beaten
* 2 teaspoons minced fresh basil
* 1 teaspoon minced fresh parsley
* 1 teaspoon minced fresh oregano
* 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
* 1/8 teaspoon salt
* 1/8 teaspoon pepper
Place 6 cups flour in a large bowl. Make a well in the center. Beat the eggs, water and oil; pour into well. Stir together, forming a ball. Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 8-10 minutes, adding remaining flour if necessary to keep dough from sticking. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine the filling ingredients. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
Divide pasta dough into fourths- roll one portion to 1/16-in. Working quickly, place rounded teaspoonfuls of filling 1 in. apart over half of pasta sheet. Brush around filling with water to moisten. Fold sheet over; press down to seal. Cut into squares with a pastry wheel. Repeat with remaining dough and filling.
For sauce I used marinara sauce from a can. 😃

thank you AncientFood for sponsored this post but all opinion is mine!
